ALMA DOEPEL: HISTORY AND RESTORATION

review: Casey Long
Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Bill from the Alma Doepel Restoration Project as a reporter. We walked around the warehouse where the boat’s parts are stored, fixed or put together and we heard stories of her [Alma’s] history and plans for her future. After the grand tour and an interview with Bill, we then endeavoured onto the enterprise with Michael, learning stories about the finding of Melbourne and it founders.

I must say I had a wonderful time this early morning on board the "Lady Cutler" . It was really cool. This event was to make more people aware of the "Alma Doepel" repair works activities and to raise funds to help re-floating the historical vessel. The "Alma Doepel" carries years of amazing Australian history. Here is a link for more reading on this remarkable ship: http://almadoepel.com.au
The Channel 7 Sunrise team rocked, while the gentleman pictured is Sam Mac with the array of happy Burlesque ladies. Thank you all for a great time!
