Spring Fashion –Fundraiser for Minus 18.
Organizer- Anthony Wayne - Mr Diamond Australia 2018
An exciting opportunity for any aspiring models over aged 18. An inclusive event where all genders, heights, sizes, ethnicities were encouraged to apply. It was a bright spring theme with 8 runway contestants who brought the audience to the colorful spring fashion show. The winner received a prize package including sash, trophy, and a place into the national finals of Miss/Mr Diamond Australia. The High-end luxury raffle prize was donated by Buxton Mentone. Thanks also must be given Tesselaar Tulip Festival for the donation of a prize in the raffle.
The contest allowed contestants the opportunity to express themselves and practice on the runway. It was a chance to showcase their runway skills, fashion style, personality, and stage presence.
Contestants were required to provide their own spring outfit – “think colors and florals” – optional fascinators for the females. They were so colorful and creative! They showed us their unique personality through fascinating fashion, their own crafts and handmade outfits.
None of them had prior modeling or runway experience but they were confident, brave and enjoyed themselves and the event.
All proceeds from tickets sales were donated to the Minus18 to continue to support LGBTIQ+ youth across Australia.
The experienced judging panel for the Spring Fashion runway- Natasha Marchev, Daniela Herrera, Vicki Popovski, Alexander O. Montgomery. Making a special trip from Sydney was Analieze Bella Newton - Miss Diamond Australia 2018.
Thanks to Anthony Wayne, who organized such a colorful and bright event that I will remember for a long time.
