​One of the biggest diasporas in Australia recently held a watershed event for the Indian community and the country overall - the launch of JITO Australia. JITO is a trade organisation as well as a growing movement. It sets to unite the fellow Jains globally. It aims to initiate the networking platforms, focusing on businesses across different industries in order to turn the ideas into reality. JITO also plays a role in releasing potential of the communities by identifying talent or innovative ideas. JITO launches have already taken place in Eurasia and USA in the last decade, with over 700 events being organised. It has finally reached the Australian continent where 4,000 Jains reside. How has this been achieved? The organisation is run by 42 Board members who are, at the same time, professionals in their specialized fields of industry and clearly have established enormous community trust. 300 guests arrived to Melbourne from all over the world to mark the significance of the event and praised the enormous effort conducted by JITO. JITO has also received strong support from the Victorian State Government with a list of dignitaries making speeches at the launch: - The Victorian Minister of Trade and Investment. Hon. Phillip Dalidakis. - Former Premier of Victoria. Hon. Ted Bailliue - Member of Caulfield. Hon. David Southwick - The Consulate General of India Rajesh Malhotra. The Minister delivered a most welcoming speech to the Indian community stating “Victoria has always been the state of opportunities”. Ted Baillieu also commented on Victoria, calling it “The state where anything is possible”. Attending the JITO launch one cannot help but feel surrounded by great achievements, inspired leadership and ability to create the impossible. Everything inspires you to strive for great results. JITO has fantastic sponsors and its projects are not limited to business people with past and present success but include women’s wing activities, education, Loan programs and talent hunt initiatives. It is an empowering organisation with big audacious goals and ambitions. As a sign of its significance to this community, by mid afternoon JITO had signed up 17 new members which is an outstanding take away of the launch. As well as the influential politicians JITO presented other great achievers from various walks of life. The extraordinary, powerful and a truly brave Sam Cawthorn, for instance, the founder of the Speakers Institute and Speakers Tribe, motivated the listeners with the clear message: “It is Our Decision Not Condition” that should rule our lives, our success. Sam’s took us through a roller coaster of emotions from his personal life and made us take stock of ways to lift the spirit up when one feels down. No successful event takes place without a great director and Mr. Gaurav Vageriya, under whose close supervision, the agenda of the day carried on smoothly, perfectly combining the serious announcements and speeches with the entertainment and inspiration of the guests. Throughout the day the audience were mesmerized by brilliant traditional Indian dances presented by Bollydazzlers. The Oath ceremony and Charter presentation in the afternoon was followed by Business verticals-Breakout sessions. This allowed a chance for invaluable personal connections in a friendly environment that set up commercial dialogue between interested parties whether one is a part of Import/Export, Education, Mining, Health & Fitness or any other industry. To conclude a wonderful working day JITO organized a cruise down the Yarra river to encourage networking time and relaxation with live music. The Chairman of JITO, Ben Sethia’s words summed up the day perfectly: “We are on a journey to embark on lots to do”. And yes, the busy time has just begun. We wish all the best to JITO Australia in reaching its goals and visions for benefit of all.
