The Melbourne Musicians,
St Johns Southgate Sunday April 9th 2017
The Melbourne Musicians founded by Director and Conductor Frank Pam, comprises some of Melbourne’s leading music teachers and freelance musicians.
Soprano Lee Abrahmsen gave a commanding performance of Arias from The marriage of Figaro, Cosifan Tutte & Don Giovani. Lee has an amazing voice with an incredible vocal range. Please read Lee`s Biography via this link for a full background on her career
The orchestra under the direction of Frank Pam performed
Mozart – Arias from Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan Tutte & Don Giovanni
and Concert Aria Nehmt meinen Dank K.383
Donizetti – Introduction in D minor,
and a superb Schubert`s – Symphony No.5 which was played fabulously well.
The Melbourne Musicians’ home venue of St Johns Church Southgate is superb location – offering superb acoustics and a warm & friendly environment.
The Melbourne Musicians’ concert series at St Johns is a must for lovers of classical music.
Perhaps the weather (Melbourne put on its worst for the day) was a result in the small turnout for this performance, as the only thing this performance lacked was a full house to appreciate some of Melbourne`s finest musicians.
