Oz Comic Con 2017

We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek look at Oz Comic Con, held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre along the banks of the Yarra in Melbourne, Australia.
The event was truly a place where you could attend and slip into a magical and exciting alternate universe where anything is possible.
Throughout the day we spoke with people and they shared their wisdom for attending the festival annually. The culture behind the festival is a wonderful community. We soon learnt that friends who cosplay together, stay together. There were countless times we heard that Oz Comic Con was giving people the space and freedom to simply be who they want to be.
The costumes were beyond this world literally and ranged from people taking months to simply hours in creating their ultimate look. Check out our video!
If you are a fan of superheros and comics and any character really that empowers you, Oz Comic Con is the place to be.
There were many opportunities to connect with celebrities including Alyson Hannigan famous for Buffy The Vampire Slayer tv series and the American Pie Franchise of films. You were able to get pics with the stars and cosplayers wherever you turned a corner and it was an inclusive environment where people wanted to actively engage with anyone and everyone.
It was my first time at the festival and it was extremely eye opening, I was worried of not fitting in or knowing everything about Comic Con but you simply had to ask someone there and they were more than happy to chat to you and answer any questions you had.
I will definitely be checking out the exhibition next year and even giving cosplay a go! It would be a real adventure and something everyone should try at least once.
