The Tesselaar Tulip Festival
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival 2016 was one of the most beautiful events I have attended this year.
With every colour you can imagine in flower formation there was beauty to be seen every way you turned.
Even though it was bucketing down rain on the day there was still so much to see and do. The weather in fact added to the beautiful colours of the flowers.
Each weekend of the festival was dedicated to a different theme or country. We attended on the dutch weekend and were treated to an extravaganza.
Walking through the thousands of tulips and getting your feet nice and muddy was the highlight of the festival. There were so many opportunities every way you looked to take a beautiful picture of your favourite flower or simple your loved ones.
If walking through the flowers worked up an appetite and you found yourself feeling a little peckish there were some themed food trucks and cafes to fill you and energise you for the rest of the day. The dutch pancakes and Bavarian Bangers were very in keeping for the day of tradition.
If you wanted to sit back and relax for a little there were tents looking out over the Tulip fields whilst a band played live music. On the main stage there were also themed musical acts as well as dances which got everyone moving and grooving, even in the rain no one could be stopped from having a impromptu boogie.
If you wanted to take a part of the festival home with you, you could even buy your own Tulips to plant at home and get you by till the festival next year.
The day as a whole was a perfect occasion and suitable for people of all ages.
Make sure you head to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival if you ever get the chance it is a fun day to be had by all and I cant wait to go back next year.
