REVIEW: The Mad Hatters Tea Party
By Bryanna Reynolds

If you are looking for a family friendly event where adults may even get a bigger laugh out loud buzz than kids, then the Mad Hatters Tea Party presented by The Funatorium at Map 57 Jacka Boulevard, St Kilda, Victoria is the place to be this school holidays.

We were lucky enough to capture a behind the scenes look at the show and capture some video. You can check out the video on our Youtube channel, Bohemian Rhapsody Magazine.

For a strictly limited run, world class performers take you on a magical journey down a rabbit hole or should we say into a tent for an awe-inspiring adventure with the cast of Alice’s, Alice in Wonderland inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.

The show includes circus acts, theatre, comedy, singing and dancing. With each moment it kept you smiling and on the edge of your seat ready to participate in the fun and games.

If you have ever dreamed of being surrounded by bubbles, getting into a massive sugar cube (soft cube) party or dancing around with flamingos than this is the place to make your dreams come true.

The humour throughout the show included the older audience members and at many points had them laughing out loud at adult only jokes that were sneakily added. It was great to be at an event where everyone truly was laughing, not many events can have all ages on the same level and they absolutely nailed it.

The performance space was brought to life by first class music which was known to the audience, think of top 40 and all time greatest hits. The lighting was absolutely beautiful as well. I think when all elements of a performance are topped off with excellent lighting, sound and staging it completes an audience member's experience and makes it all that more enjoyable.

The interactive environment welcomes people of all ages into an inviting atmosphere where you get to dance and sing along with the cast as they perform on stage and make their way through the audience and surrounds.

The Mad Hatters Tea Party is on until Sunday the 9th of July so make sure you secure your tickets and check into the best tea party you will ever attend.
