CAT LOVERS SHOW
website
review by Susan Reynolds
This year the 2019 Cat Lovers show was a purr-fect day for feline fans.
Bigger and better was promised and so it was... with shorter waiting times at Pat-A- Cat and more cats to see overall. The whole space upstairs at the historic exhibition building was taken up with Pat a cat, breeding showcase and individual stands for cat rescue groups and also some delicious food/drink choices.
On the ground floor there were some fabulous accessories for cats, great paraphernalia for cats and their owners. Cat carriers, litter, food, photographers to book, cat inspired crafts, cat surgical specialists, many related company representatives and lots of cat experts to give advice. A dedicated area for one on one with vets, groomers, cat experts with pet behaviour, trainers and nutrition experts. . This was the day to find out what it’s all about to own a cat, how to nurture a cat, what to do if you have issues with your cat and for those who have owned a cat for a long time education was still invaluable. It’s a day to obtain cat knowledge and for all to celebrate in the joy of cats. Humans were catered for with yummy food choices great coffee , a wine company had a display on the day and you could even have your nails appliquéd with cute cat motives or fab face painting. Moving outside of the building the food continued for hungry humans with plenty of choices.
Cat fanciers enjoy a sense of humour cup cakes were available with cat faces and motifs.
On stage there were shows highlighting clever cats and their tricks. Who said you can’t train a cat? These trainers show how it’s done for advertising and the budding movie star cats amongst us. Dr Chris Brown and Dr Katrina Warren were amongst other experts on the weekend. Offering invaluable advise on how to look after your pet. Also maybe there were there for some fan photos!
A great weekend was had by all : the precious felines, their owners, experts and show goers.
